I LOVE the weekend!!! Even when I used to work in retail every weekend, I still loved them. That Friday feeling is FUN!

These days though, the weekends mean ‘Family Time”. No meetings, no school run, no rushing from one task to the next. Whether we have lots of plans, or no plans at all…it’s a time for making memories, and I really cherish that.

I’d been on the hunt for a lovely hoodie for the boys for a while, something cosy and comfortable for a breezy spring weekend walk, and equally snuggly for Friday nights chilling after school. I have my own “Weekend’ sweater from a few years ago, and I really wanted to get them something similar, but I couldn’t find the perfect thing.

Thats when I reached out to my talented friend Nancy.

Nancy is a textile educator, based in Ledbury, with a gorgeous small business Lily The Fish. She carefully hand prints personalised designs for a variety of product and is most famous around here for her gorgeous thick organic cotton PE Bags.

I know that quality and sustainability are high on Lily The Fish ‘s priorities, so I asked her if she could print my design onto a thick organic cotton hoodie

Nancy sourced the snuggliest hoodie in a lovely soft grey, then hand printed the design. As soon as they were finished, we loved them so much and agreed that more children needed this level of weekend cosiness in their life, and that perhaps this was on opportunity to raise money for the life saving Charity, Women’s Aid.
