The Best Of The Best - Luxury Baby Changing Bags

When I say “luxury“, what do you think of?

That first glass of wine after a long day?
Fresh flowers on a Saturday morning?
Hell, even a hot coffee is a luxury some days!!!

Whatever your idea of ‘Luxury‘, one thing is for sure…You deserve a little!! 😉

Motherhood is the most wonderful job in the world. Truly fulfilling, blissful and amazing, but it’s also selfless, tiring and consuming. It’s all to easy to put your own needs at the bottom of your endless to-do, to-buy, to-go lists.

Well…I’m on a mission to fix that!

While we might not have the same amount of ‘me-time’ as our pre-motherhood-selves, we can still be organised, in control and look (dare I say it) stylish!

If you’ve read about my journey to accept that “yes, baby bags really are worth it” (HERE), then this post is all about where to find the ones that step-it-up-a-gear in the style (and luxury) stakes.

I little bit of luxury that will take you through the early months, years and long after you actually need a ‘Baby Bag’. I’ve put these bags to the test (with the help of my boys) and can honestly recommend them all.

In no particular order, you’ll find my “Top 4 Luxury Baby Bags” and a run-down on why I love them so.

And…..I’m delighted to be teaming up with the U.K’s leading online nursery store Pramworld to offer you a chance to WIN your very own stunning Jem and Bae Luxury Leather Changing Bag worth £265!!!!

There’s more detail on that at the bottom of this post, but for now, lets hear about the bags….

Pacapod – Firenze Leather Changing Bag – Putty

So you’ve read all about my first ever Pacapod HERE. Well this is the glamorous big sister of my hugely practical and lovely Mirano.

Firenze still offers you the genius 3-in-one organisation behind all PacaPod bags, but this time it’s in buttery soft leather with shiny gold detail.

Why I love it…
PacaPod’s ‘3-in-one system’ is utter genius and quite frankly hard to beat. A Changing Pod complete with all the necessary little pockets. Easily removed for quick changes mid-lunch-date. The pod also clips nicely to the buggy for emergency changes. This time the Feeder Pod doubles up as a cute little back-pack too.

The colour is the perfect nude. They call it putty but it’s the really the most gorgeous shade of Greige. Devine. The leather is delicious quality, super soft and slouchy. I’ve tried hard to get this across in the pictures because all the images I’ve seen of it previously really haven’t done it justice.

Even many of the the luxury bags I’ve found still have the fabric strap, which almost stops them looking like a ‘real bag’. But the PacaPod comes with a gorgeous matching  Leather over-the-shoulder strap. It’s beautiful.

The bag also comes complete with a Bottle Warmer, Changing Mat and handy Stroller-Straps to you can clip directly to the Pram. All of them are great quality, durable and easy to use.

I LOVE how spacious the PacaPod is. The biggest of all the bags in this post and therefore brilliant if you find yourself a little short of space with two changes of clothes, bottles, toys and rice cakes…let alone your own essentials!!

Your bag arrives in a beautiful Organza Dust Bag (perfect baby shower gift!) and priced at £265, I’ll be using this bag long after a “baby-bag” is needed.

You can email marketing@pacapod.com for your exclusive 15% off discount code. Offer valid until 23rd May for the first 50 Hunters and Heels readers.

Nest Designs – Ayla Tote in Brown

Self confessed 'Worlds Biggest Fan of Canadian Brand Nest Designs' over here!! This bag is the only Non-British-Brand to make the grade. Turns out us Brits are actually pretty damn good at designing changing bags. That said, we don't have anything like The Ayla this side of the pond....Swoooooon!!!!!

Why I love it....Look at it..... Who would think this beauty was a 'baby bag'?! It arrives in a gorgeous branded felt dust bag (like all the best bags do!). I love that it's not ALL leather. The addition of soft silky canvas is perfect for the Summer months. The leather details are a rich sumptuous tan and all the detailing is polished gold. It's pure class!!

Pockets pockets pockets..... There's nothing more annoying and disorganised than the "Black Hole of Handbags", you know the kind, where car keys go to die. It's particularly annoying when you're trying to change a nappy or mop up some kind of regurgitated vegetable. The Ayla has 4 outer pockets (great for bottles, phone, wipes... Anything you need to grab in a hurry) and 6 (!!!!) inner pockets for nappies, nappy cream, snacks and all your own essentials. I also love the built in key chain so those pesky car keys never go missing.

The inner is completely wipe-clean and the insulated bottle warmer is hidden inside the bag so perfectly discreet.

This bag isn't huge, but it's super organised. I love how it encourages me to pack lightly and sensibly. It's also the most lightweight of all the bags in this post. Once hooked over your shoulder it's as light as a feather and if you're like me, your back will appreciate the rest!!

Priced at $185 (so around £130) it's incredibly well priced.

You can get a very generous 15% off everything on the Nest Designs Website with code HH15.- oh and while you're there, look at all the beautiful feather weight blankies and bibs. The Best!!

Jem and Bea Jemima Bag in Tan

If Mulberry made changing bags....Designed by two British Mums (one of whom designed for Burberry and Mulberry pre-baby) that found themselves frustrated with the lack of style available on the Changing Bag Market. The Jem and Bea collection is gorgeous and carefully edited, but seriously, the Jemima MUST be their best design so far.

Soft Tan tumbled leather, that feels ultra expensive and luxurious. This bag also has the most gorgeous gold coloured metal hardware.

Middle-of-the-road in size, so ample space for all the essentials and a few extras. The interior is loaded with pockets (8 to be precise) so no excuse not to be super organised in a hurry. There's also two slip pockets on the front to keep some wipes or your phone in easy reach.

The logo'd lining is as stylish as the exterior. The Jemima comes complete with the softest luxury changing mat, drawstring bottle warmer and even a gorgeous leather vanity purse (that matches the bag perfectly)!

The shoulder strap is tan coloured canvas, easy and comfortable to wear but still attractive. The bag also clips easily to the handle of a Pram.

Priced at £265, and in my opinion worth every penny for a bag that will last a lifetime...- Or of course, you could WIN yourself one at the bottom of this post!!! :-)

Storksak Noa Changing Bag - Light Tan

Storksak is an established and popular brand for changing bags, and it's easy to see why. This bag is actually one of the lowest priced on this list (at £165 for ALL-LEATHER) and I'm really impressed with its quality, aesthetic and organisation.

It's a beautiful soft, light, buttery leather. The colour is called 'Light Tan', but it's actually quite Sandy in tone, perfect for the summer months. The hardware detailing is minimal polished, silver for those who prefer cooler tones.

The Noa has one internal zip pocket and one exterior pocket, as well as plenty of space inside. The really brilliant thing about this bag is that it comes complete with a mini-organiser insert. It's lightweight and wipe-clean. If you're not taking all your baby essentials with you, or if you also want to use your bag for work, you can simply remove the organiser and you have a bag all of your own.

I love the tiny hidden zip in the side of the bag. It actually took me a few days to find it, but it's so handy and fully insulated. The perfect place for keeping a bottle warm.
